if it ran dry , it wouldn't be able to cool your rig.

i wish i hadn't read this post now, its really got me thinking.
Yeah I cant really remember so this might not be right, but I think some of them were using a gallon to a gallon and a half of water a day..Some were even blowing fans across the atomized water for extra cooling...Water coolers are a trip..

I dont think it would work without atomizing the water, the more fine the droplets the better the cooling from evaporation.Without the atomazation it probably wouldn't cool to well...But then again I have never actually tried it either.....

I appreciate the discussion. It verifies the kids haven't turned me into a complete imbecile .. yet.

Of my two previous store bought systems that i mentioned does anyone have any experience with AS-3000. Seems nice and small. I have 2 5.25 bays left and could use it there.

No they haven't killed off all your "Grey Matter", I wonder the same thing myself sometimes..It's really better and cheaper to build your own WC rig. And the kits I'll link you to are decent one's. I wouldn't get a kit any less then these. It would just be discouraging and disapoining to get a cheap kit.Swiftech Apex Ultra Dual 120mm Water Cooling Kit

Last question to save some leg work, i also have an x1800XT 512 M card. Do you think the single rad is enough to handle the conroe and the vid?

Im prob just going to use my waterfall as a .... waterfall.

Seems that just with evaporation I prob wont get the cooling i was looking for. Thinking about the H20-120 now that ira-k suggested.

It will but not as well as just the cpu..Why dont you think about building one..Look at snerp sig line he has a pretty good setup for cheap..But if you put one or two high cfm fan on the 120 it should be able to handle cpu & gpu..These fans I'm going to link you to are kinda loud but they are good. They have some 84cfm Sunnons here to, they are not as loud and still have a decent cfm flow...I have 5 of the 108cfm in my case and rad.......Sunon 120mm Ball Bearing Fan w/ 4pin 108CFM 42dBA
