With those machines, a linux system may be your best bet. As far as what kind of cluster, I don't know if you can implement the load balancing aspect. Let me know the results of this. I would definately be interested in knowing how to do this. Good luck on the project, I JUST finished my senior project for college. It was a network quarantine setup. Kicked my A$$.

If you've got the project details laying around, I'd love to look in to it. I'm always looking to learn new things and find out how they work.

I'll let you know, though. It's due mid-December, so I have lots of time. I'm just making sure I have a vague idea of what's going on right now though so in November I'll have a good idea of what to do when I get started.

I already know to use Linux, though I'm not too familiar with many Linux distros or.. uuuh... "core"(?) Linux operating systems. With my limited knowledge I've not yet come to a decision, but considering Damn Small Linux runs fairly smoothly on my Pentium 200Mhz I think I'm going to use that.
