But they are almost same price and not 4000 graphics? I'll have no real video card till December.

since you don't already have a chip, forget about sandy bridge.

ivy bridge is superior is almost every way. the 3570k will be the BEST bet for you. thats the processor im buying and i highly doubt il regret it.

you could play BF3 on low settings at 720p with ease on the HD4000

I have an i5 2500k on air cooling running 4.7Ghz peak fully stable OC. I picked up my i5 2500k from Micro Center for only 179.99. The cooler I use is the Silver Arrow with ICD7 (ICDiamond 7). My temps are AMAZING during daily usage even in my hot ambient environment. Its 88f (31.1c) in my room and my temps during gaming have never been past mid 50's(c). With the TY-140's my Cooler is whisper quiet. I picked up the cooler for $79.99 if memory recalls. If budget is a concern I would start with the i5 2500k and get the best possible Air cooler you can afford. steer away from Hybrid Water Coolers/ Closed Loop Systems like the Cosair unit's if noise is important to you. Stick with D-14, Silver Arrow, Phanteks or similar. Also before "they" pipe up about the weight of the coolers hanging off the mobo, I have used my Silver Arrow for over a year solid. NEVER had a single issue with it at all. i5 2500k performs great in rendering, number crunching, gaming...you name it its an excellent performer and overclocks very well. Hope this helps you out some.

he's going to be using the iGPU for gaming, so that 2500k isnt recommended..

its basically HD3000 vs HD4000, until he can get a gpu.
