Hard drives / Disc Drive not showing up in bios or windows.

Hi, I just bought a Mushkin Chronos 120gb SSD, and the first thing I did was switch my bios over to AHCI mode, then install windows on the SSD. I have 5 drives (1 SSD, 3 HDD, and 1 Optical), when I open My Computer or Disk Management, I only see 3 (1 SSD, 2 HDDs). In the bios, the 3 available drives show up, but the other slots show nothing connected. Can someone please tell me if I missed a vital step?

My rig is:
MSI P67A GD53 motherboard
i5 2500k
8 GB 1600 ram
Geforce 560 ti (not that it matters).

unpluge all the cords from it to the motherboard and from the mother board form it and plug them back in

Is your BIOS up to date?

Can you test one drive at a time?

Can you test all the ports to make sure each work with a single working drive?

If you are going to bother posting please try to use good grammar and correct spelling so those you are trying to help can actually understand what you are saying. thumb.gif

My bios is not up to date, but I just finished making a boot thumb drive to update. As for testing the drives and SATA ports, I'll get around to it tomorrow and keep you posted.
