Looking for new monitor

Hey folks.

I'm looking to upgrade my monitor. I got a Samsung...Think I got it in my sig. Forget the type. Anyways. I'm looking for a good Gaming monitor. I'm running at 1680X1050 and I wanna get a larger resolution.

My price range is at most $350 + shipping. Not sure what the best would be in that range..I don't need 3D it holds little interest to me.

What do are your preferences when it comes to monitors? 120hz? Fluidity, eye-candy? just saying not 3d helps little in making a suggestion.

I thought it was pretty to the point. I don't care about 3D and besides that, I want the best monitor for gaming for under $350. If the thing is pink with Hello kitty on it, but is the best thing for gaming, so be it. I just want a monitor really suited for gaming. I was looking at this one, but was unsure.

I've gone through a LOT of monitors (Checking reviews, looking at them in stores...Driving my wife mad)

and if that was my budget I'd prob go with

a Benq 120hz for gaming

just my opinion

Edit: hmm apparently the monitors are starting to run together, those are a bit more than I remember

As good as gaming gets biggrin.gif

On topic: read reviews and look for something with a high contrast ratio if you play a lot of dark games (less lines in gradients)

Man, you wont go wrong with Dell. I completely happy with my Dell U2311H. e-IPS pannel which means wide viewing angles, excellent color accuracy, black depth and contrast ratio.
There is only one thing i should warn you - purple glow, but it's noticable when the screen are all dark.

P.S. I wont go back to TN-Film pannels

Thanks. I think I am going to buy the Benq XL2410T

http://gaming.benq.com/gaming-monitor/xl2410t/#skip

I can buy it for around $400 and little over my budget. But seems like one of the best bang for the buck monitors.

Don't get the XL2410T go with the new model the XL2420T = they worked out some of the bugs that people complained about with the 2410 model.
