Hey guys, this Intel 330 SSD is aimed at us enthusiasts, but much cheaper than the 520. amazing though, as it has the same components!

It wasn’t so long ago that we broke news of the Intel/SandForce partnership and everyone told us we were nuts. Once again, we are here to publish another SSD first and Intel seems to be front and center once again.

Our SSD analysis today will examine the Intel Series 330 SATA 3 SSD, the value priced little brother of the Intel 520, and the similarity between the two is rather odd. In fact, one could almost consider them twins as they contain exactly the same SandForce processor and model of memory.

Yup, a little teetered off that I bought a 160gb 310 not too long ago and now a 180gb 330 is far cheaper.

But then, it's another step towards making SSD's commonplace so....GO TEAM INTEL! Another reason why I love that company.

No one beats Intel SSD drives for stability.

I would say just as stable, if not even more. For the last few generations Intel SSDs have pretty much been riding on excellent reliability rates, which came at a small premium when compared to competitors like OCZ. Sadly reliability isn't something that's factored into reviews.

They haven't exactly been winning any performance awards in synthetic benches, but their SSD's do what they're meant to do - deliver insane speeds and instant access times. These prices make me a happy Tippy smile.gif

Thats true, from intels published specs they do have the lowest released RMA rates of any other ssd manufacturer. not that others might not have lower results, they just dont release them.

Why do people hate on Sandforce but turn around and put Intel SSD's in high reguard. Also if OCZ is so unreliable why do so many people put them in their builds?
