Is this ok with my H100?

I have it mounted atop my NZXT Switch 810 with stock fans intaking from outside the case and GELID 120mm as exhaust. Could I get some opinions on it as I installed it yesterday and I am not sure if it is the best way to set it up for temperatures or even if the fans move air well together.

I am installing some GELID 140s today for the rear exhaust and intakes in the case, so ignore their absence in the photos biggrin.gif

Comment on the airflow
Basically both the GTX470s and the PSU will dump hot air to the rear of the case. If a wall is behind the 810, all those hot exhausted air will likely just rise up and then being recirculated back into the case due to the top intake fans of the H100.

So, I would suggest trying the top exhaust as this should avoid the potential hot air recirculation.

Comment on using Gelid 120mm Gamer fan as pull fans with H100

H100 stock fan is rated at 46-92CFM while a Gelid Gamer 120 is rated at 64CFM. IMHO, the difference in CFM might be a mismatch. Generally speaking, it is better to have the same model of fan to push and to pull so that the same or very similar amount of air is pushed/pulled through the radiator.
But since you have already bought the Gelid fans, perhaps just try them to see how the cooling goes.

Thank you for your reply! The case is currenty set up to where it is hugging the wall (long side). Would you still recommend the setup you outlined? Also since the GELID fans appear to have less CFM than the Corsair's, should I use the GELIDs as push instead of their current pull role? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

If there is no wall to the behind of the 810 but only to the side, then I suppose the chance of hot air recirculation is greatly reduced and is, therefore, acceptable. However, if it were me, I would still use the top exhaust setup so that fresh air intake (green arrows) and hot air exhausted (red arrows) are as further away from each other as much as possible.

I do not think it makes much difference between using the Gelid fans as push or as pull. Either way, its fan profile just does not match that of the H100 stock fans.

One way to make the stock push fans and the Gelid pull fans to match, CFM-wise, is to connect the two Gelid fans directly to the PSU so that they spin at a constant max speed of 1500 rpm giving 64 CFM. Then, turn the fan speed dial on the pump to a little lower than the medium (ie 2nd setting for Balanced) so that the two stock fans would spin slightly slower than 2000 rpm to give just about mid 60's CFM. (I am assuming a linear relationship with the given fan spec of 46CFM@1300rpm and 92CFM@2500rpm).
