This. they just said, EA has a market cap of 5 billion. Their net worth could be in the tens of billions, there's no way on earth they have the capital to buy EA...maybe a battlefield free-to-play such as battlefield heroes, now that i could see.

They do. I played up to around 3 years ago, and I had friends who spent close to $1000 a year on the game. The game is extremely addicting, even more so than WoW if you play with friends.

The game also had a prize machine in several in-game cities where you could pay $30 to get 35 tickets to put into the machine. Rewards were either garbage or very good. I know people who spent close to $200 in a day on the machine just to try and get a single item. They simply could not stop spending money.

EA has a market cap of $5.29 billion. Nexon has a market cap of 652 billion JPY (yen). Going rate of USD to Yen is 81 Yen : 1 USD. Therefore Nexon's market cap is roughly $8 billion. EA according to its 2011 FY financial statement has assets worth up to $4.928 billion, and equity is only $2.564 billion. Therefore, YOU in fact are wrong sir. EA doesn't have the equity to buy Nexon two times over.

Also to add to the fact, Nexon's stock keeps going up while EA's is hitting a 52 week low before today. So who's in the better position now? Of course EA's stock jumped up a bit today in rumor that they are going to be bought (in speculation of better profits?).

Please do a google search before posting stuff like that.

Nexon games are known for their gamble mechanics.

They need to be investigated for inciting minors to gamble, what with the amount of money that goes into those systems.

i played maplestory from 2005 to late 2011, besides one time spending $25 on a character transfer, i bought maybe $50 of nx in my whole career
