The game also had a prize machine in several in-game cities where you could pay $30 to get 35 tickets to put into the machine. Rewards were either garbage or very good. I know people who spent close to $200 in a day on the machine just to try and get a single item. They simply could not stop spending money.

100-200 a month was common for people I knew. Gatchapon meant Ramon noodles for the rest of the month

no leave 2k alone quit putting out dumb ideas . Madden is the only good thing that EA does (for me) because EA holds a contract I hope 2k will come back to NFL one day also doesn't EA make NBA LiVE or NBA 2k beats that hands down

Congrats on not buying much NX, you're one of the few, the proud, the people who think they're personal experience translates to everyone else.

For compulsive gambler types (especially youth who have not been diagnosed yet), Nexon's games are like a glass of water in the middle of Death Valley for someone who's care broke down halfway. Or something to that effect.

They need regulation in the same way that states regulate so called "legitimate gambling". It's to the same effect, you spend money in hopes of receiving something better in return, with the vast majority of the time you being the loser and the dealer being the only winner overall.

How in the name of everything logical are Nexon able to afford this without liquidating a chunk of their assets, i mean EA has a huge repertoire of games.

Nexon cannot possible be making so much off micro transactions, if they are i have grossly, i mean grossly over valued the figured of regular pay models and i need to go back and thoroughly revise it.

I need to find nexons financials, my goodness i think ive been barking up the wrong tree about f2p.

EA has been losing money like blood from a gouged out throat for four years now, and their stock has been in free fall as well(it has not recovered until today by a teeny bit because of this rumor).

EA has gone downhill ever since they stopped making Road rash games.

Nexon!? *cringe*

Nexon has HORRIBLE customer support and terrible management. I can't believe people STILL feed money to that company after all their screw ups. It boggles my mind. If they can make bids for a huge publisher like EA.. then they sure as hell have the means to improve their god-awful customer service, among other things.

If Nexon were to acquire EA though.. Would it get better? I just don't know. Scary thought.
