nobody can predict the future of games, but as far as here and now 480's are still very powerful cards and theyre not going to become obsolete for a good while.

I bought my i5 2500k from Chiptec in Lisboa. It was 200 euros, which at the time was identicle to the cost of an 2500k here in the UK (£160). Maybe even a few pounds cheaper. I know they sell hardware as good as any other euro retailer. Then again you might not be in Lisboa. They do e-orders anyway, so I'd recommend them.

Ill tell you first hand that a 480 is still a very good card. 2 of mine can clock to 850core 2066mem at a low 1.063V an run under 70c while gaming. An yes im on the stock cooler.

i'd take the 480 over a 7850
I'd recomend the 7850 over the 480. DOn't know for sure but it can probabally OC further and it draws WAY less power, is not nearly as hot and not nearly as loud. I ownd two 480s and liked them but I think if your choosing between those two the winner is clear even if you are giving up a small amount of performance.

Anyway my 2cents.gif
