You're a bit msinformed.

IPC gains over the original FX CPU and Llano APU (i.e. Phenom II) have already been confirmed with Trinity APU results and gains will be higher so with Vishera due to the presence of L3 cache and an, overall, more robust platform.

This will be combined with a high IPS (clock speed ability to 4.6 and beyond) that may be improved further with AMD's new resonant clock mesh technology (i.e. the equivalent to 3D gate except it's quick to implement and it actually works).  Everything will consume less power due to RCM and others; the FX processor was a large improvement where when same integer core counts are used it consumes less power than Phenom II cores and even Llano APU cores (CPU only portion).  Maybe AMD will not be up there in pure performance but that's where performance-per-watt and performance-for-price will come along to really define things.

---

Once again I do not recommend any purchase of Pareema memory.  There is NO WARRANTY.

I'd be skeptical as to pairing a somewhat weaker 500W PSU with a GTX 480....
