I'll say reformat your PC.. you got to have a keylogger or something.

If his system was infected with a keylogger, more than just his NCSoft Master Account would have been compromised by now, that's for sure. Brute Forcing is still very popular method of acquiring information, as well as phishing, which even the smartest can accidentally fall to if they aren't paying attention.

Mkilbride, this has nothing to do with the recovery of your account, but I'd recommend just changing the password on anything relating to the email used for that NCSoft account, that is if you haven't done it already, just to be safe.

you give your info to to many people!i never had issue with ncsoft!in aion they even added a additional code entry you have to enter to log into your character ,so i bet gw2 is similar!there is something your doing that isnt good!and i agree with ncsoft ,if you arent gona stop.they are right to stop your account cause clearly it is at your end

ps:even if they have his account password in aion they couldnt login anyway because of the nature of the system it is impossible .you have to know the info!

it is true that i wish the website was similar :a code you enter onscreen not on keyboard after you have logged in with keyboard ,this way even our account would be secure

Most companies take up to 48 hours to respond and they don't work weekends, so you might get a response Monday evening or Tuesday morning.

With regards to your rights, their EULA doesn't overwrite local law and thus you are within your rights to 'take this further'. I'd start with contacting Patrick from GiantBomb.com, he'll no doubt contact them for a statement before posting a news article about it.
This sort of thing would be a PR nightmare for NCSoft, so they'd soon want to rectify the situation as it'll potentially effect sales.

I put in another message about GiantBomb and whatnot. The thing is, they stopped responding Thursday, so they had all Thursday and Friday to respond.

And in the past they responded within a few hours, weekends or not...so...yeah.

I am escalating your ticket to the appropriate team. Someone will be in contact with you as soon as possible.

Finally got that...

After they've had almost a week to review the case.
