America's Army - Page 2

AA is an excellent game in my opinion. It used to be plagued by hackers, but over the last two or so versions, hackers haven't been seen at all. One of the worst things about free FPS games is the damn hackers messing everything up, but not in AA, not anymore!

It is slower than many FPS games, but it's great for using tactics to get an advantage and everybody has a (more-or-less) level "playing field" because the weapons are standard army issue types.

It's a good game, I think most people wouldn't be disappointed after the download .

Highly-Annoyed

I'm playing now ( just waiting for the round to restart ) on SF Pipeline, on the DUC honour server . You're =DM=Duke in the game, right? I mostly play SF Pipeline, but I'll keep an eye out for you in the future. I was "Ardent-Assassin" a while ago, but I changed to [SF]-PLMSTR, as I felt like being anonymous again .

Ooops! Round is restarting about now! Better go!

duke and me are in the same clan. I like AAO but like some people say if you perfer to rush.. this isnt the game for you. you will get tired of waiting very fast. but that is y i like the game. i perfer to sneak around and in like BF some idiot rushes u and ur spot is done.. but in AAO if they die.. they dead and cant tell everyone where u are..

so its really up to personallity.. if u like slower paced games with spots of action. u will probably like the game..

I play AA competitively, there are a few things you must understand before playing.

#1, it's not CS(S), it's a slower fps game with a bigger learning curve meaning it may take you a few years to be able to play with the best, as opposed to a few months or a year on other fps games.

#2, The community isn't near as big as CS(S) or CoD but I think all the comp clans will agree they like it that way considering you actually get to know a lot of the top clans and players. However, at weird times of the day it can sometimes be hard to find scrims.

#3, personally I love the game, it just takes a certain kind of person to play it, a lot of people get to the training or start playing in a pub and die too many times and just give up. My suggestion is you find a "pub" clan, get on their TS/Vent and have some fun, let them teach you a bit about the game and see if you like it after a few weeks.

you want the most updated version (v2.7), AA is not like BF2 in terms of patches, it is different because there are no expansion packs or anything. They add on and change features and stuff with each new patch rather than releasing a whole new game or expansion you'd have to buy.

www.americasarmy.com or search for americas army 2.7 on fileplanet...
