MSI rma was great for me even though I went through the 1st rma mobo within a few mins in prime, darn 1100t really was too much for the 890fxa-gd70 (vrm issues) lol, but they didnt question me at all and since I rma'd with willcall it was FAST and pleasant.

I loved them too frown.gif

Yeah their boards are great when they work but when you have to wait for an RMA that long and get it half assed done then it really reflects on their customer support quality. Most of us we would have back up rigs/laptops or whatever but what if that was your main rig? you would be out for a month or two and really thats a poor job on their part. Sure the upper tier line supports advanced RMA but not everyone can have that much hold on their card. Not sure whats going on with ASUS now, they're dishing out so many new motherboards but where has the QA gone to?

I agree on the title, btut honestly this is how there RMA experience has been for as long as I can remember. I had issue a long drawn out RMA every time I have had to RMA one of their boards. Each time it would be close to a month to get a product back in my hand and every time I would receive a beat up defective board or a faulty board back. I have been telling everyone I talk to for years now that ASUS makes great board but if they break just replace them their RMA process is not worth the trouble.

To make matters worse when you receive the bad board back from them and call them up they will blame you for it being faulty. This has happened to me twice during a three month RMA experience with an original crosshair board. The funny thing is I called them about it less than an hour after the board was delivered to me and yet they still blamed me.

I will say it again, ASUS makes great boards but when they break, you can hang it up. They don't stand behind their products and treat their customers like dirt IMHO.

I really don't think people should use this as a basis for the quality of the companies products, its just that they dropped the ball on this particular RMA. Obviously it shouldn't have happened in the first place, but at the same time many people have great experiences with Asus products and RMA procedures, a month isn't really that long of a wait period for a hardware RMA at all really, people think they are the only ones when they have a problem and think that oh it should be fixed today, its just not realistic.

I had a great experience with an RMA with Asus granted it was a few years back, I sent them in my M2N32sli delux and got back a Crosshair II, made my day, that rma also took about three and a half weeks.
You should really call Asus and discuss the problem with them, ask for an advanced RMA with a new board because they screwed up so badly, refer them to your ranting posts that really get you no where as well, so they can see how badly your displeased. I'm sure that they will do what they can to resolve the situation for you, no company wants bad PR no matter how irrelevant it is to them on the big picutre.

Yeah. i completely agree with you. im giving up on asus and the rampage 3 extreme. my x58 SLI LE, which is one of EVGA's "mid range" boards..and it overclocks my 990X to 4.5ghz, and has been rock solid stable since day 1.

@Jieman im not the only one with the issue. sure there are many people who have no issues, and thats awesome for them, but just as many of us have had problems with asus service and their products.

I had to RMA my CHV 4 times before I got this one. Every time they tried to give me the run around and blame me.

Its sad to hear about all the problems with ASUS these days. They do make good products, as long as they dont break, but you should always support your end users. Thanks for posting.

As much as I want to stay with ASUS, I think my x79 build will be something else. Gigabyte did a decent job with my recent RMA of my UD5, but it took them a month to get it handled. I think I will try EVGA now, I have heard good things about them.
