If that were to happen to me I probably would boycot them since evga, msi, gigabyte have rma centers within miles of me.

This is exactly how my RMA went. It was painless, and it only took a week. I didn't call ASUS, I called the ROG hotline in the back of my manual, and spoke with a nice english speaking gentlemen. I have NO idea how the OP's went so badly. What a bummer man. I really hope you get straightened out. I would suggest joining up here and laying out your case and showing some pictures. Hope this helps. redface.gif

Hmm...

In short, if you do buy ASUS, don't expect quality support from them.

Sad to see ASUS dropped ball on this RMA

Wow, this is the exact opposite as my experience when I RMA'd my Rampage III Fourmula. I sent in a bad one, just the mobo too. When I got the new one, it came with everything (all accessories, cables and cd for drivers). It was brand spanking new too, no fingerprints or anything on it at all. Thats weird that they dont provide this kind of service to all customers, kind of disappointing really.

Apparently I got very lucky with my RMA, because I hear nothing but bad things with Asus RMA. The SATA controller on my old P8P67 Pro gave out, so my rig wouldn't post. I called up Asus the night it died, and within ~15 minutes of being on the phone with a representative, they setup an advanced RMA and said they'd have a brand new replace board shipped out within 48 hours.

I got it not a week or so later, and so far, it hasn't had any troubles (knock on wood).

Hope you get this stuff sorted, Sparky. OCN is a big name site, and with constant bad experiences, and you exposing each one, it won't look good for them.

I hope you get things sorted soon sparky, I could only imagine the rage you felt when you received it back. thumb.gif

Was just researching my next board and was a toss between Asus Maximus or ASRock Extreme4/6, I am definitely going ASRock after reading so many bad stories about Asus.

That's poor quality you should definitely put a complaint in.
This is what happened to my Asus Striker II Extreme just last week. The heatsink was super glued on! It just fell off on me.

I refitted with some Arctic alumina thermal adhesive.

Hmm well. I didn't know about all these stories.

The only time I've called them was last month. I have a bent socket pin in my P8Z68-V LE (I think it was Fry's fault for selling it) but ASUS told me on the phone it would be $127 to fix my "problems." That sounds like a whole new board. frown.gif

(The title is good for this topic, I think. It has the potential to become one of those huge rant threads, hundreds of pages.)
