I don't think anyone understands this. The S4 is better then the Exynos in virtually everything other then superfluous synthetic benchmarks. In reality, anyone who WOULDNT take a much more power efficient/powerful dual core when compared to a quad core in the mobile space is just inept. I'd be surprised if anything other then some of the multi threaded benchmarks actually used more than 2 cores.
Hell, even Samsungs next Exynos, the 5250, is gonna be a 2Ghz DUAL CORE chip. Quad core is just a marketing gimmick at this point in tablets/phones, although hopefully app developers begin to take the hint about making apps more threaded.

so wouldn't it be better to go faster more efficient dual core + LTE. I know LTE eats up a lot of battery if you're within the area. Since they keep mentioning of incompatibilities or maybe they're just purposely holding back so they can make multiple revisions? Just like with the ATT Skyrocket (my phone
) they changed the Exynos from the Galaxy S2 to the Snapdragon just to support LTE. The more we move onto bigger screens, higher resolutions, the less room or even power for multi-core phones as well as battery eating speed modems. There has to be a balance or at least they need to make some of the others more efficient. Just my speculations
