BTW, I'll be checking out the new release of Ubuntu today. How's everyone liking it?

Sorry to be a pain, but there's a thread on the new Ubuntu in this forum already. Quite a few threads in fact.

Obviously I can't control what people want to talk about, but I'd rather not have every thread in the Linux section about Ubuntu if possible smile.gif

Unity really isn't half bad, but I greatly prefer something that stays out of my way a bit more, such as XFCE/LXDE or Openbox. I'm more interested in the programs I'm running, rather than the gigantic bar on the left side of the screen.

I'm sticking with 10.04 LTS until I die! It runs HoN and TF2 just so wonderfully <3

Jk, but I haven't liked any other Ubuntu releases. Linux Mint is just too unstable for me.

I have been hearing really good things about Unity and 12.04, maybe i'll try out 13 when it comes out tongue.gif

Does Archlinux still break spectacularly after system updates. Nothing but a toy OS.

I've had a program break... once (no problem to fix though, just downgrade the package temporarily). Those are harsh words that you have. What makes you say that it's a toy OS? It's a rolling release distribution, it's made to work how it does, and it does its job very very well, in my opinion. Things are simple, things are easy, you can get the latest updates, and there are no ridiculous upgrades to deal with. Arch fits the way I use a computer, so seeing you dismiss it so carelessly just comes across as silly to me.
