Get the 3770k, no brainer.

Think of it as the 2500k and 2600k but with a smaller price gap.

GDay all

THought I might jump in this for some advice as well.

Current PC - 2600k / p67 Sabertooth / h100 cooling. I Hit OC wall of 4.5 due to board. I know it has a working 52x boot and 5 stable on friends mobo.

Was thinking of a new high end 77board and a 3770k but here is the kicker........3570k can be purchased as low as $249 USD or $239 Australian. The 3770K look to retail for around $400USD or $380 AUD

I can get $265= for my 2600k .

Keep in mind I have a GTX680 on the way.

So options are:

1) Keep 2600k, new 77 board, no pcie3 go for a better OC
2) Buy 3570k, new 77 board, go for an OC
3) Epenis choice of 3770k, 77board, go for an OC.

I only game and some photo work, but love new tech and OC.

I'd have a crack at 2011and i7 3820 but the k chips are just out of my price range. 8(.

The way the 22nm is going the new IBe will be toasty too. It's a gamble. lol

I have heard only good thing of the 3820, it might not have a K on it but its a pretty decent clocker, and dont forget that the base clock is 3,6... not 3,2 like the 3930k.

Anyone know why this benchmark on BF3 sucks for 3570K?? 3770K and 2500K murder it.

Who cares? It's BF3 which is more GPU dependent.
