Risen 2 in anything other than DX9?

I was wondering if R2 can only be played in DX9... I can't find anything that will let me change it. Iv'e looked in the config file and found nothing. So I'm pretty confused at the moment. Any help would be appreciated. thanks!

Most games will only run in DX9 until the next consoles are released.
