as far as a competitive game is concerned its a complete failure

when we talk about who will "be the top skilled players" we will most likely be talking about players who are just not complete downies. the skill cap is going to be SOOOOO low its just not for hardcore pvpers who want to compete

WvWvW is pretty dated but i imagine this aspect of the game will most likely be a welcomed event. i can bet my idea of what a large scale battle should be is 100000x more exciting and fun.

these mmos are so bad and by buying them we basically say its ok to keep carbon copying the same garbage

Here's the initial fan ratings (you need to have purchased the game to see the beta forums), ~280 posts on there each person giving their overall rating/mini review.

For the people that don't have access, I'd say 90% of the people are giving it a 7/10 or better, and the ones rating it lower are usually saying things like "game ran at 5fps", "it's not GW1", or "overflow system didn't allow us to play with friends". Two of those are issues that will be fixed before release, and the "it's not GW1" thing has been known for years now. Seems very common for people to hate the game at first, but love it after sticking with it for more than a few hours.

Devs are hosting a beta event in 45 minutes by the way in the norn starting area.

While I bought the Digital version I was not overly impressed, but I can chalk that up to seeing only starter content and that's fair. Rift had a smoother intro into the game.

Had some fun zerg moments i would admit with some Heart content. Rezzing fools that overextended and got jibbed by above level Centaurs and Bandits lol.

I was not impressed with the really bad acting on stale cutscenes. When you play 2 characters in SWToR to 50 and 4 others to 35 in full voice acting by real actors you notice the amatueristic effort put forth on the "Still in progress cutscenes" (early on in GW2). Definetely an after thought.

It's a shame SWToR lost me at 50. I'm still looking for the new car smell of DAoC style RVR.

Go to the asuran portal in any large city (it's on your map), that will take you to Lion's Arch. Take one of the portals there to Hoelbrak.. then exit Hoelbrak out the east gate. That's the zone the event will be in.

I agree, Anet claims many of the voices are placeholders (huge WIP logo during cutscenes). I know my charr had 3 different voices, sometimes in the same cutscene. One was good, the other 2 were awful. I think they are in the process of re-recording over the bad actors.

In GW2 you lose the tactics and accuracy aspects. It becomes a game of bopit with an awesome interactive screensaver.

The real kicker though is that this is not just some mmo. It's GW2. Players are no longer rewarded for thinking outside of the box. The one redeeming element of this game's prequel has been lost.
But hey, what do I know? Apparently I'm just sloppy with my use of skills.

Looking at your post history, it seems you really enjoy bashing GW2

This keyboard is beautiful. Its stylish and very ergonomic. They almost made it perfect if they had of made it with mechanical keys for hardcore gamers. However this was not an over sight for them....
