Relax. Tab's been up in firefox for a while and I just got around to replying.
To be more specific Day, I meant exactly what I said. If you've played WoW, you can draw immediate similarities between terminology and style. It was commented on frequently in-game, and was commented on frequently in their forums and throughout the GW1 alliance I'm in. Controls, especially melee combat, are not intuitive and the problem was exacerbated by the lack of a controls tutorial (it's a beta; that is when you're supposed to test it). Clicking on enemies neither moved you towards them or initiated attacking; only a skill initiated auto-attack, which wastes a valuable tool in a limited skillbar (I have no problems with the skillbar, just that I'm required to burn a skill to initiate melee combat). "Vibrant and stylistic" beauty is clearly in the eyes of the beholder because it doesn't hold a candle to any other major 2011/2012 release visually - water, shading/shadows, reflections, bloom. When I logged into the beta, I was simply not impressed by the core game mechanics and the graphics left a lot to be desired. People IN-GAME were commenting that it did not look like something developed over 5 years.
Dynamic events were cool, but problematic for people nearby but not participating as they scale with the assumption that those others
were participating. Given Anet/NCSoft's track record for hacked accounts, the in-game option for purchasing gems is not inspiring. The economy tracker should prove interesting and the ability to transfer item stats from one skin to another will immediately shift the economy from being rarity driven to... something else. Facilitating gold-buying probably won't work in their favor. I almost liked the in-game poling system, except that it needed to happen a
lot more often for it to be truly useful. WvW was sorta fun, but given how Anet treated PvP in GW1 post 2006 I'm skeptical about how much it'll be supported in GW2.
OR you can pass the previous post off as trolling because brevity clearly equates to lacking in facts.

But hey, it was the first open beta right? I'll hop in on the next ones to see if any of my gripes change. Much of what I've posted has been repeated ad nauseum on the GW2 forums since the beta launched so we'll see how closely they listen, or don't, to the folks playing the game.
