LOL... Same thing goes for everyone.

When I started this whole benching hobby.... Well.... Let's just say that my first attempts at SPi and Wprime were laughable (as in I once ran Spi with the AV scan going on the background and could not figure out why my times sucked)... Only when the AV scan finished and I got the little bubble message letting me know about it did I realize my mistake. That was a good two hours wasted. biggrin.gif

Just keep at it. And remember that this site/team is full of very knowledgeable people that are more than willing to help guide you so you get better at it. Hell; I'm not even on the OCN (I'm a member of a rival team... wink.gif ) team at HWBot and I'm more than happy to help people out here as well.

PS: A word of warning. Very soon (like when you start submitting more benches and realize that the people above you in the rankings are all doing sub-zero benching) you will get this nagging feeling of wanting to "go cold" as well, and soon after that you will find yourself at the cash register of your local supermarket wondering why the cute cashier is giving you weird looks when you show up to pay for the three large tubs of Vaseline, the large pack of paper towels and the duct tape.

Sub-Zero benching will become your mistress.... Heed my words!!!

I already am doing sub zero benching without phase change or Ln2. I've gotten, y h100 to do -2 on my 3770K. And just a quick question my times will get better with faster ram right? I am looking into 11 timing 2400 mhz ram by gskill. Its like 70 bucks on newegg. Just need my paycheck lol. Then ill mess with the timing and see what I can do. But I want to get a dice pot to really see some crazy speeds andtimes! I have homework today sadly so ill be lomited to time on here but any help is recommended! Thanks again guys for all the info and fun stuff! tongue.gif

That 2400 kit you want may very well be capable of running tighter timings than 11 (provided the IMC on your CPU can handle it). And yes; given the same operating conditions (CPU Speed, temperatures, Operating system used, etc); running faster RAM will give you better times on SPi.

Oh and -2C on winter air is really just scratching the surface of sub-zero benching... Just wait until you start doing -70C benching with dry ice... It's just amazing... biggrin.gif For the pot part... Some guys here at OCN make a very nice one and it's available for purchase... Or you could try and find a used pot to buy. I have a Koolance V2 pot and it has worked rather well for me when benching on dice, but I find myself now wanting to get a "top tier" pot and realizing that I should have just waited to save enough money to get the one I wanted instead of jumping the gun early and buying the one I could afford at the moment.

Yeah that OCN pot is amazing...man that sounded bad lol. I want it but All the padding and oil for the motherboard scare me a bit. I mean I've gone past 1.92 vcore already rolleyes.gif but i'm worried about some silly oil lol.

Have you followed the guide mate? It could very well be your waza. It's one of those things you just have to spend some time with unfortunately frown.gif What works for one platform could very well increase your times on another.

Still can't get anywhere near robbo's 1M time... 0.218s away with same clocks/memory speeds. Subtimings tweaked as far as they'll go, too. No idea what I'm doing wrong.
