Gang,

Well its time for my 2012 Rig Build.. Picking the Chip is going to be interesting, since the Bulldozer maybe a BUST.. so stay tuned!!!

Parts obtained so far.. thumb.gif

CPU=TBD
RAM: 16 Gigs Patriot Memory speed: PC3-8500F (533 MHz)
OS: Window Ulitmate 7 64bit

In all honesty... Going from your current rig to an 1100T or a FX-8150 looks like it would be a down-grade.

That aside, What are you using this computer for? If it's for gaming, you could go i7-3770k if you don't want to upgrade for a few years, or an i7-2600k, if you're looking for something cheaper that's also a good chip.

It's all dependant on your wants of the computer though.

Good luck with the build!

Neither grab the 2500k if you are building from scratch. The only reason people get the fx 8120 is if they already have an am3+ and want a cheap upgrade. Not worth it to go new, 2500k is much better.

I know would just hate to see him throw money away, especially on a new build.

Seriously, don't turn this into a 2500k fanboy thread. Please.
