Sorry for dblpost guys....

So whut you need to know?

If you already understand v7 I'm sure you know how to set 1055 up. Once you get it rollin go in and edit Client Type to

:client-type

:bigadv

Drop the colons though. They aren't necessary. Only using them as input location examples. smile.gif

Now if it's build advice or OC'ing advice... smile.gif

I've gotten it all set up multiple times. The problem is that after a minute or so of folding using the 1055t, the fah client shuts down. There are no errors or anything in the log either, fah states there's a problem and I have the option to abort. The only way for me to restart fah after that happens is by restarting my computer.

Good mornin' folks!

I turned back on my GPUs last night, to get some extra PPD out of 'em, and lo' and behold, it's running like a well oiled machine now! Each GPU is at 6.8k PPD (Not great, but what are ya going to do?) and the CPU is now at 22.2k (I put it back to 6 cores, and it seems to like that). Let's hope the other computers that I get up and running today will be as happy to fold smile.gif

@ Superericla, that almost sounds like it's not getting installed properly or something to do with Windows itself. I will pass on taking shots in the dark that may do more harm then good, and allow one of the other fine folks around here that has more experience using FAH give you a hand smile.gif

Best of luck!

It's too bad I won't be able to pull that in for Chimpin it looks like. But once I get things sorted out I should pull that pretty well. biggrin.gif

lol good point. I guess my advice applies to humble 4core/4thread CPUs tongue.gif

What's a Thubbie?

I think he means Thuban Phenom II x6 CPUs.

Out of interest, with Ubuntu 10.10, would it be better to fold a i7-2600k CPU on a Sabertooth P67, or a Maximus IV Extreme-Z (Z68)? Out of a series of events (mis-diagnosing a bad mobo, when it was a GPU ): ) I've got both. I'll be OCing the 2600k for folding, and was trying to figure out if the little bit higher OC I can get out of the M4E would be better then the stability of the Sabertooth would be worth it? Any thoughts would be helpful!

Cheers~
Well, stability is obviously key. It doesn't matter what you can clock it to, if it's unstable wth.gif

my sig rig folding 24/7 only around 4799 ppd average... cant be right can it? but its more than i get when folding my gpu as well =/ trying to get as much out of this thing as i can
post #328 of 864
Okay, I followed all the steps left by Zodac at the start of the thread.
Its already folding, even tho I have no idea if Chimpin already started.
Can some1 tell me anything I should do with my client config for my cpu or anything?
Got GPU+SMP, the X6 is working at 100%, each GPU is at 50%

Limit your SMP to 4 threads. Each AMD card client will use up one full thread of CPU power too.

Will gladly do it, just need to know how to tongue.gif
I went to configure>folding slots>SMP changed the value from -1(default=all cores) to 4. Pressed save but I dont think it applied.

Edit: Atm the client gives me an average of 8.7k PPD
