And I don't have Amazon Prime, I don't order enough stuff online (this will obviously be a huge exception) where it would save me money. But, I'll have to check out what parts they have on Amazon, and how much their shipping would cost me from them (I'm expecting Newegg's to be around $200 if I bought everything from them). I'll also have to check out if Amazon Prime could end up saving me money on shipping, it's always nice to trim off a bit a fat on the sides tongue.gif
Ideally though, I'd like to have the majority of my initial purchase through one vendor/one shipment, but if I can save a significant amount of money by splitting between Newegg and Amazon I'll end up doing that.

"customers bought and returned in new/damn near new condition? Or do they have minor defects?" Both. For example some manufacturers have rules about dead/ stuck pixels where it's something like 5 or more total and they will replace it or 3 or more if they're within an inch of each other. Like I said I was fortunate that mine came perfect but I would say odds are fifty fifty. But again for a system like your building this would only be a place holder untill you would be able to get the 27".

BTW I hate you, I've been catching up on the monitor and I had 8 pages open about the catleap including an ebay one for buy it. tongue.gif But seriously I am considering it Ima try to do the Make Offer and see if I can get a Pixel perfect for 380ish or so xD.

Hm. I hate dead pixels with a passion. But, when it comes time to buy I'll see what there is available in terms of open box. Seriously though, dead pixels and I don't mix. The following is a completely different issue (although it looks like dead pixels just white) but one of my friends ordered a refurbished LG projector from Amazon (third party seller through Amazon) because it was a decent projector (having used a newer model of the same projector himself) and the refurbished price made it seem like it was a steal. When it arrived, he set it up, hooked up his PS3 and popped in a game, only to turn on the projector to find out that the bulb was going bad (or something like that, I'm not experienced at all troubleshooting projectors), causing almost the entire upper right hand quadrant of the projection to look like white pixels.

Needless to say, I almost had a heart attack on the spot. So I'll probably end up buying new lol thumb.gif

I know nothing like that would ever happen from a trusted vendor like Newegg, but this still doesn't change the fact that I hate dead pixels biggrin.gif
