I'm looking to buy parts for my new build on the Ivy Bridge Platform using a Z77 board. So far I have narrowed down my choices to the following choices.

Basic Build Information

CPU: i7 3770K
RAM: Samsung Low Voltage & Profile 16GB 1600mhz
PSU:Soon to be decided (750w Modular PSU)
GPU: Well Priced 6970 or 7850 or 7870
Cooler: Corsair H100
Case: CM 690 Advanced II

I plan on overclocking hopefully in the range of 4.4-4.7GHz more if temps are low (who knows I may get a golden chip wink.gif )

Now for the boards I have in mind

  1. ASRock Z77 Professional ATX @ $230 $220
  2. ASUS SABERTOOTH Z77 @ $240
  3. ASUS P8Z77-V PRO @ $225
  4. Wild Card : GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD5H-WB @ $210

Which do you suggest?

Thanks!!!

Update: I went with the Asrock z77 Pro

No love for Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H? I'd say Z77 PRO, mainly because Sabertooth offers little to nothing over PRO.

I would suggest the MSI Z77A-GD55 or GD 65. Look sick, and I can't imagine you would need more features than they have. They also cost $150 and $170, respectively.

I have the same question, and have narrowed it down to an ASUS P8Z77 Deluxe ( i want more USB 3.0!) or the Sabertooth as well. . . or maybe an ASRock Z77 Pro.

Thanks for asking my question for me thumb.gif I'll be lurking to see what kind of a response you get, and post up any revelations I might discover in my own research.

The Asrock pro has quite a bit...

Well i just remember I had a $10 off coupon that expires tomorrow, so it brings the prices down a tad bit more

ASRock Z77 Professional ATX @ $230 $220 (8 x USB 3.0)
ASUS SABERTOOTH Z77 @ $240 $230 (6 x USB 3.0)
ASUS P8Z77-V PRO @ $225 $215 (8 x USB 3.0)
Wild Card : GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD5H-WB @ $210 $210

So far I am leaning to the the Asrock because it has the most Sata and USB connections, which is something I definitely want.
