Any opinions/suggestions/critiques on my 1st build before I pull the trigger?

I wanna preface this by saying that this is the first time I will be building a PC piece by piece, I'm running on an old 7+ year PC that has served me well (for the most part) but decided it's time to upgrade. I tried to stay within a budget ($800) as best I could, I didn't wanna go all out but instead reserve the option for easy upgrades in the future.

I've listed the parts/prices with links below for easy reference, any suggestions/opinions positive or negative are appreciated, thank you.

Looks ok, but with 650 watts, you don't leave much room for SLI.
Unless you plan to get a new GPU and sell the 460 after a while

How much room do you need for a hard drive?
There are some SSDs that a $1/GB

And why not wait for Ivy to get a price drop or look around OCN market.
You can prolly get a 2500K for that price.

Try this guy, its ony a few more over your 2400.
From what I'm reading, its still new.

@hybleaf I did go with a 2500k after all, also I don't plan on doing any SLI at least no time soon and yeah I probably will eventually get a newer gfx card just not in the near future.

@kitarist Honestly after a year or so I'll probably have one of the new ivy chips in this PC, for the mean time what I have will suffice.

For a budget cooler... maybe the Hyper 212 Evo? Or the 212+. I really don't know what cooler has the best price/performance ratio nowadays...

Cool thanks, if I don't plan on OC'ing at the moment I'll be ok with the stock fan right? I mean I'll probably look into getting a cooler in the future but as of now I should be fine.

Well... you will be okay. But a better cooler would keep the cpu cooler and would be more quiet, too. And keeping your components cool may add to their lifetime. And when you get into to OC'ing you won't have to look for a cpu cooler, you can just try it whenever you want... There's some reasons... biggrin.gif
