Skyrim running at 30-40 fps 7970 xfire @120 hz? - Page 2

it is under User>Documents>My Games>Skyrim> Skyrim Prefs

delete Prefs, not the one titled "Skyrim"

as well as this disable all mods then launch by right clicking skyrim and open file location, and choose skyrim launcher in your directory then if done correctly it will redetect all your graphics settings

Thanks:D I did as you said and it redected all my graphic settings.Fps seems to be slightly better and goes upto 60 fps sometimes.Still not happy with the performance.Ill try to run it without any mods installed.

Good grief, are you going to keep going in circles? I told you how to fix it. It will 100% work.

Delete all ini files, all config files, delete the game, redownload, reinstall.

Huh?I want to try everything I can before a complete re-install.I get charged for every GB I download,so if I can solve this issue without a complete re-install,it would be best.

Dont post in this thread if all you got is "delete and reinstall."

what about mods like skse and scriptdragon? do you have those?

to be honest I am lost as to what the problem is, have you tried running non CF after disabling mods and resetting the ini's?

i did find this thread on Tom's about a similar problem...unfortunately there is no fix mentioned

Just an update for people who may have similar issues, Installed the latest 12.6 beta drivers + the news CAP's and now everything is running ultra smooth.thumb.gif.Feels bad to wait 6 months for proper drivers for the newest games:(
