I'd try a suicide run @ 1.5Vcore and see what happens. If the chip isn't throttling itself or glitching under load then that's a good o/c regardless of the temp thumb.gif

I will, but it will not be with my 3770k unfortunately.
My local PC shop dropped their price on the 3570k which I was originally going to buy, so they allowed me to swap out my 3770k for a 3570k.
In the end I'm $150 richer. Now to see how this 3570k does! biggrin.gif

EDIT: So far I have my 3570k @ 4.5Ghz with 1.2v running Prime95 as well. Hopefully it stays that way, but we will see.

Yeah, but I'm pretty sure that this is an opened/binned chip here. They told me to come down for the real deal 3570K at $189, and were completely out. So I upgraded this kid's commission and bought the 3770K instead. And I get this crap? > http://www.overclock.net/t/1250090/official-ivy-bridge-owners-thread/150#post_17116653

And they're all "whateversss" about that, like "not sure when the next ones are coming but ok sry." Now I can't wait to see what else they have for me. I'll buy and return as many as I need to right there before they give me a sealed processor. tiredsmiley.gif
