Good MMORPG

Thread Starter
Hey...I played EverQuest a couple of years back...but quit due to cost and workload that took away from it. Now I'm looking to get back into the onlin-fantasy world, mainly cause as I work my way through Oblivion it just makes me remember the good old days of EQ. So, I've looked at EQ, but the graphics look like crap and I'd like to try something new. WoW looks good, but could anyone reccomend anything else? I still don't understand what GuildWars reay is...if someone could explain how that game works I'd be delighted. But other than that, if there are some great MMos out there, I'd love to hear about them.

Try Everquest 2. Solves the problem you have with Everquest graphics looking like crap and it seems like you really enjoyed the game before. It does take a pretty powerful system to run Everquest 2 so make sure yours is up to it. If you would click on the tab at the top of the site labeled user CP and fill out your system specifications that will help us give you better advice.

Ive been playing EQ2 since november of 2004, still fun, I did play the original everquest aswell. EQ2 is probably the best chiose for mmo, I tried wow and guildwars, and guildwars was one of the worst games I have ever had the unfortunate experiance to play

EQ2 is not eqlive, it's changed very much from those days, but is very much a fun game to play. If you like you can always give it a 10 day free trial I think it is gives you acces to the starting area and ability to create any class or race of charcter.

Heres a link to the free trial

http://www.trialoftheisle.com/en/

p.s. be warned it does require a pretty decent rig to play even the mid range graphic settings, around 80% of the poeple I raid with play at the most extreme perfomance graphics, or otherwise knows as crap mode.

ok i dont know if you necessarily want an MMO that you have to pay for, as for free ones, Hero Online and SilkRoad Online are great. I play SilkRoad alot so if u join it, PM ME.

Guildwars is good for what it is... I have a friend who like raves about EVE (but it requires a MASSIVE learning cuve) I have personally played SWG which I now sugest to stay far away from. SOE has turned it into a very crappy copy of wow in the star wars universe.
