Is there any real advantage for a 3570k over a 2500k besides PCIE 3.0 now? That isn't even much of an advantage, either. Not unless you run a PCIE SSD.

Just found the the 3570k at http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=187_346_1184 for $249 and the 3770 for $339. Not too bad for Aus. thumb.gif

Better iGPU, so faster video encoding. About 15% (at the best) faster clock per clock and lower energy consumption (higher temperatures though). So unless someone plans to use iGPU or needs PCI-E 3.0 in long term, there is no real reason to go with Ivy... especially with these prices.

Less power consumption, 5-7% higher IPC(4.8GHz IB = 5.0GHz SB), higher RAM speed support.
