Will the prices go down? From a chart I saw the 3570k was $212, due to Intel dropping prices. This one to be exact.

Keep in mind these are Australian prices, I am doubtful any kind of Intel leak would be in Aus dollars tongue.gif

The prices aren't too absurd, especially when you compare it to the GPU mark up that we pay.

But it would have been nice to see the 3570 at the 2500K price point and 3770 @ 2700K price.

Doh! Very true, shouldn't have skimmed so quickly. I'm still debating whether to get a 3570k..., it has a higher IPC, but clocks lower, I'm not much of an OC'er anyways. It uses less power(it being 28nm I really expect it should), however the temps are through the roofs at times. Does anybody know if the max temps on these CPUs are higher than SB's? I'll probably be cooling on air, something cheap like a hyper 212 evo, does anyone think I could hit 4ghz with decent temps with that cooler on a 3570k?

you can do 4ghz on stock voltage easily. even on a 3770k with hT.

Easilly man, probably without even changing voltages.

Well the main thing I"m worried about is temperatures. I saw a graph of IB hitting ~90C @ 4.6 ghz 0_o.
