Price is definitely up there. It's tempting but I think I still want the big kepler more than this.

I'd never pay that for a graphics card ever. I don't care if it was 4 times the power of a 680.

I agree, price is ridiculous.

Apparently it contains frame metering 2.0 or something akin to that (for anyone that cares about microstutter). I hope reviewers touch on this, as it's more important to me than supposed framerates or 3d mark scores, or epeens.

In fact, it's the entire reason I am going nvidia, so it's the single most exciting feature of the entire 690 in my eyes. It's 5% less powerful than sli 680s? Whatever. It's able to pump out 83.3fps at 1920x1080 in batman? Whatever. It does a better job at mitigating microstutter? SOLD. SOLD x 10. SOLD x INFINITE.

  • Further Questions:
  • Is the frame metrering tech hardware based?
  • Is it exclusive to the 690?
  • And how well does it do vs the previous frame metering software/hardware that nvidia already has in place.?

These things will be the determining factors in my purchase.

Everything else is distant secondary. Super distant. Cannot even see it, kind of distant.
