I have a build that I am perfectly happy with but I still spend way too much time on newegg etc as well. I am the family tech guy though for all my family friends families as well as my family though and as such I end up having to do a build every month or so, thus I like to know exactly what is the best bang for the buck at every price range. biggrin.gif

My knowledge of useful things has been replaced with an encyclopedic reference of hardware components... I feel like a robot sometimes... beep.

It's about $19 to my area code for reference.

I'm kind of upset right now. I was all ready to buy the i5 3570k, but my budget is really tight and I was expecting to pay $220 for it.... this is not making me a happy camper.

I know what you mean, last night I was on skype with like 15 people and one of them goes anyone know of what graphics card is best for under $195, at that point in time 10 of the people all call my name out. My only question was, "Ok with used?"

Resistance is futile. Haswell has your number.

So who's going to overnight a shiny new 3770K just to pop the IHS off? rolleyes.gif
In all seriousness, do we know if the retail chips have TIM or if it was just the samples, and the real deal is soldered?

I have friends back home who call me periodically... usually to ask about computer parts frown.gif

But back on the topic at hand... I want to hear about more successful purchases! smile.gif

Trying hard to resist ordering a Cosmos 2 and relevant ivy stuff.

I really want to re-build another system but I fear I'm only doing it for the sake of doing it... There are very few games I have interest in playing on PC right now.

I might just find myself making the hour long drive to microcenter tomorrow :X
