That said, no need to go through the trouble of switching from 680s in SLI to a 690, unless quad-SLI is in your future.
Really the only advantages of the GTX 690 over a pair of 680s is that it's going to be a tad bit more power efficient and quieter (since it's a single PCB instead of two), it will require less slots, and you'll only need to purchase a single waterblock if you watercool. Other than that, no need to fret if you've already got a pair of 680s.





















I would actually use that as a decoration piece if I bought one and slapped a waterblock on it.
