Yeah so let's say you're playing max graphics and getting 100 FPS in 2D when you turn on 3D Vision same settings you'll get 55 FPS. A lot of 3D vision owners will turn down settings one ot two notches to get better FPS depending on thier GPU performance.

Technically you can get by in 3D vision minimum with 30 FPS but not one FPS lower. Naturally optimal 60 FPS would be the perfect spot. wink.gif

Early June I've heard on the EVGA forum in more abundance. Now that the 680 shortage is over. Today there is a lot of 680's on sale on Newegg. They are still 690's trickling each day but goes out of stock within mins of posting.

the added vram on the gtx680 4gb will give you head room for turning up AA settings and stuff but the 690 wud be better because it will be able to achieve 60fps+ and 2gb vram is more then enough as long as AA is turned down, witch in my opinion is not needed at that resolution.

the single 680 will struggle to get 60fps in some games.

when i had 2way sli 580s on my 30" (2560x1600) i never ran out of vram as long as AA was turned down and the was only 1.5gb of vram on the 580s

So far the 680 and 690 has been very hard to find for me. Many sites are only allowing the purchase of 1 680 or 690 if they are in stock. Sadly I hope next month availability will be better.
