@Arizonian, did i miss something, or shouldnt you be pulling well over 100-110 FPS ? At least from the benchmarks i have seen the 690 being around 115 FPS in BF3 on ultra. confused.gif

I dont know, at least on my current laptop rig i play on High and i get 40-50+ FPS, the deal breaker for me to get more performance ( minimal FPS, as in upping the lowest number ) was to get rid of that one AA setting, dont remember the name, set it to low and it worked.

Anyway, maybe i really missed something, or maybe with a good overclock, 110+ stable will be possible. The video kinda broke my heart a bit redface.gif

Hmmmm I'll have to look into what I did then that might be cutting myself short. I am at stock CPU, testing card out. Have had issues that turned out wasn't the card after all. So I've been focused on that first. Making sure its working before 30 day replacement is up.

Maybe something is still wrong with card? I don't have time today so I will have to look into this.

Hey bro

Dont you think stock CPU is holding back your 690?

When i had my 590 and left my old i5 2500k at stock speed and than OCed it to 4.5 there was a noticeable difference.

Maybe a noticeable difference in benchmarks such as 3DMark11...but a stock i7 3770K should not be holding back a 690 when gaming.

Oh yeah the benchmark difference was about 1000 points in 3Dmark11, but i also believe I had difference in FPS as well. Too bad i dont have that rig to test again.

i7 3770K shouldn't hold back 690 in gaming. Will be doing mild OC anyway but not until after I cover my card is working properly. Testing atm.

Turns out going through UEFI I had iGPU turned off and forced Gen3 on PCIe slot rather than 'auto'. Going to test out BF3 again same scenario Ultra on all the way.

Looking at doing nvidia surround for my gtx 690 and have got a a lot of good feed back from you guys on options and was looking at a 24in led 120hz but I got a email from new egg and they have a great deal for today on 27in led 60hz for only $279 with promo code. is this one worth getting because I could get 3 for the price of 2 120hz 24in ones. Also it says it a TFT LCD panel is that good all I have been reading about is TN and IPS. Also I was kinda leaning towards IPS because I do graphic design on the side but it hard because I want a good gaming monitor. I play a lot of FPS games but as of lately play LOL and liking it it.

It's a TN panel, still a pretty good deal, though for only a few more dollars you could order some 1440p ips monitors off ebay:p
