Go to Evga.com and download Precision X. Once you download it and install it set up a quick fan profile under settings. I basically use a 1:1 up until 55c or so. So if the card is at 55c the fan is at 55%, but once it hit's 60c I have the fan at 70 and keep it going like that. So if the card hits 65c the fans automatically go to 75c.
Once you have a fan profile set, change the power target to 135% and then use the Offset slider and start at +100 offset. Almost every 690 that I know of can easily do +100, so you can start there or do 120 or so and run Unigine at full tilt for a few runs. On my cards, the highest in SLI I can go is 120, individually they go to 130 on the offset. Don't worry about doing memory until you find a good core overclock. If you can be stable above 140 or so, you got yourself a good card as most dont go past 130, but we have users here that have hit 150 or so and some a bit higher.
