Congrats on the new addition! I am almost done doing all the wiring. I just have to connect a few more fans and do some cable management and I am good to go with the first run under water!!!

Awesome seeing everyone's 690s, as there has been a small influx recently. I just updated the members list with about 12-13 new members; if you do not see your name on the list and want to be added, please just let me know and link me to a proof pic.

Thanks guys! thumb.gif

Well here are the initial test results for my Evga GTX-690 under H20. These tests are just comparing temps under H20 vs. Air using the same exact same settings. I will work on seeing what my Max OC is a bit later, for now I wanted to check out how much cooler this card can run under H20.

Settings are as follows for the comparison for both Air and H20:

Power Target - 135%
Core Offset - +120
Memory - Stock
Fan (for Air) - Fan Curve of 1:1 Ratio of Celcius:Fan Speed. So when Temp's hit 50c, Fan was at 50%. When it went beyond 55c, I stepped up the fans to +10% of the Heat. For example at 60c, fans would be at 70c. Once I hit 70c I added another +5% to the fans, so at 70c fans would be at 85%.

With the above settings on Air, I hit a max of 70c on GPU1 and 68c on GPU2, fans were at 85%. This was after 3 full runs of Unigine at full details/1080p.
With the above settings under H20 I hit a max of 32c on GPU1 and 28c on GPU2.

A whopping 38c improvement with the same exact settings!!!! Pretty Amazing!

Please also note, when I tested under Air, I had a very good Air Flow System. I had a 200mm Blue Led on the Door blowing cool air directly over the card. I also had a 200mm fan on the bottom of the case pushing cool air from the bottom straight up where it would catch the hot air coming out the 2nd GPU and I had an internal 120mm fan blowing cool air into the path of the hot air coming out of GPU2. With the 200mm giving support from below, I had pretty good temps under Air.

BTW...I want to post pics of Unigine Running with the Precision OSD Monitoring, but when hitting F12 to take a screen shot it does not show the Precision OSD in the shot. How do I take shots where it shows the OSD monitoring from Precision?

In monitoring under the tab for OSD there is check box for "show on-screen display on captured screenshots" That should be what you are looking for. thumb.gif

Sweet results and congrats. thumb.gif I'm going to look foward to your new bench run at Hevean 3.0 under H20.

I've not been able to figure out how to take that screen shot either with EVGA Precision OSD. I monitor GPU #1 & #2 for max core clocks.

As of the last week GPU-Z does not monitor "MAX' core clocks for me anymore to validate what my max boost was during the particular bench or gaming video. It dosen't show any monitoring went on. confused.gif

On a side note to those club members who haven't yet participated but would like to have some fun and represent our 690's in the*OFFICIAL* Top 30 Heaven Benchmark 3.0 Scores , please do so.

Heaven DX11 Benchmark 3.0

Don't forget these important settings check list: Good luck and bench away. thumb.gif

Render: Direct X 11
Mode: 1680x1050 fullscreen
Shaders: high
Textures: high
Filter: trilinear
Anisotropy: 16x
Occlusion: enabled
Refraction: enabled
Volumetric: enabled
Anti-Aliasing: 8x
Tessellation: extreme

Some of our members already have participated and have shown some impressive scores. Thanks to anyone who takes this challenge.

Edited to add: Seems 108.8 FPS is the score we need to muster to stay top 30.

Yes for me 'show on screen display' is checked. I can see the stats moinitoring in the upper left hand corner but F12 takes a screen shot and even though the stats were being shown the picture comes out without the OSD showing.

I have that checked under the OSD tab, but it still does not work. I know that Unigine uses "F12" for it's screen shots, so wondering if there is another method to capture the screen shot with the OSD displayed.

Nice and thanks, what was your max oc on the core on air before your pc failed stability wise? Was it 120?
Im looking forward to how much you can push this on the core on water and be stable in heaven/3d mark etc
post #1300 of 4504
Won't the max overclock on water be the same as on air? As you can't overvolt these cards properly?
