Can I join now?

But seriously is anyone having this problem. GPU-Z says my GTX 690s are running at PCIe 3.0 16x but the test system I have them in are a P8P67 WS Revoultion with a i7 2700k neither of which support PCIe 3.0. SO I'm wondering does everyone else's GTX 690 says it's running at PCIe 3.0 even when it's not or is it just me?

Talk about a serious CPU bottleneck. Honestly didn't think an i7 2700k @ 5000mhz would bottleneck quad SLI GTX 690s but my god they did. Most I was getting 50% usage accross all of them. Only going to keep one with the new 2011 platform I'm buying for it today.

Are you sure its a cpu bottleneck though? I get 30-50% gpu usage on bf3 maxed when i'm getting 90fps, when my refresh rate is 120, but on heaven i get 80-90% usage and I get well over 120fps. This is on my 3770k that i got to 4.5ghz today (my h100 seems broken). I think its something different than a CPU bottleneck, because my CPU is almost never at 100% during benchmarking.

Has to be. Overclocked the cards and 3DMark did not see a gain at all. Not to mention my combined score in 3DMark was far less with quad SLI than the single GTX 690. Lost about 5FPS on the combined benchmark also. CPU, PCIe bandwidth, something like that.

Finally got my new X79 platform up and running after a million DRAM issues so I'm about to do some new tests and see how it changes.

Well, i got about what you got, except you have a bit more core oc and your cpu should be slightly faster.

I'm running on dual pci-e 3.0 @16x, so that can't be the problem you got. So maybe it is the CPU, I mean my CPU did a horrible job on the physics test, the gpu should do that part all together in theory anyway, so that's not even an accurate test. Let us know how your 2011 does.
