I've ordered 3x Dell U2412M monitors. Which seem to be tied with the ASUS PA246Q as the best IPS monitor for gaming. The Dells with the plastic front bezel removed have around 10-15mm of bezel which is really low and are 1200P so are good for portrait which is how I'll be using mine. You just have to take the time to remove the plastic covers and remount the stands.
Anyways I'll start a thread about it when I get them this week because it seems a lot of people at the moment are interested in IPS 1200P monitors for surround set-ups.

U2412M has been my alternate choice. IPS display and 16x10 which I hear is better for portrait mode anyway. Are you going to use the stands they come on or invest in a single stand? I was thinking about a single arm mount or the Ergotron LX. I saw this setup on [H]
They are about $295 on ebay with free shipping. Did you find a better deal?
