)... 2x GTX 690s will have a TDP of 600w, + your OC'd i7 2600K, + everything else...even at 80+% efficiency, that doesn't leave enough headroom that i'd be comfortable with, personally. If you're going to plunk down the cash for a pair of these bad boys...plunk down a bit more extra for a quality 1K watt PSU.

Ummm... It might be able to handle 850W, but why take the risk? Plus, it would be better efficiency for a higher wattage PSU since you'd be pushing the limits.
I think you should upgrade if you're OCing too, I think you might as well upgrade. Especially considering that you're shelling out 2 grand for graphics cards.
Yeah, the problem is that I'm stretching too much getting a 2nd one already (in Europe prices for 690s are higher) and a good 1000W+ PSU is about another $3-400 if not more, but yeah... madness costs and I will regret it in a few months
From the test I've seen, a Ivy Bridge system, mildly overclocked, draws about 450W of power from the wall, that's why I had hopes.
Anyway, anyone knows where to get that awesome looking SLI bridge?
