I removed the KB2670838 Update. According to an article I just read, this update will automatically install again as it's part of IE 10.
This is exactly why my score was cut in half.
Here's another run I just made with Firestrike Extreme: http://www.3dmark.com/fs/412651
5743 vs. 2348 yesterday.
Many people have complained about that update.
I guess I'll have to wait and see how long it'll be until it reinstalls itself.
Thanks for the help!

They keep saying they will update the software for this Firestrike bug, but nothing yet. Here is the thread on it:
http://community.futuremark.com/forum/showthread.php?172828-680-sli-low-score-3DMark

The Valley 1.0 thread here is a good place to see how cards compare. A single 690 beats a single Titan by around 20% when both oced in most things I have seen. The Titan has a lot more memory though if people mod games.

I would take a single 690 over Titan any day, but if I need a ton of gpu horsepower then I would get two Titans over two 690s because the 4 way sli has never received proper support. The 700s are almost out too.

Apparently, when I removed the KB2670838 Update, I also removed IE 10.
When I checked Updates, I had to install IE 9 and it's security updates.
The thing is, in the articles I read, that KB267038 Update was installed in their IE 9 folder when it supposedly is only to apply to IE 10.
This is the 1st time I've had trouble wit IE since before Windows XP finally arrived.
FutureMark has always only been fast when it comes to selling software that isn't ready for prime time.
It takes them forever to even acknowledge a bug, much less fix it.
I've been hoping for years that somebody would come out with a benchmarking suite as comprehensive as the FM series but far more reliable.
I'm afraid that they'll always have a monopoly on benchmarking programs.

Rumor is 780's dropping soon. I would wait it out till may.

I would take a 690 over a single Titan for this resolution any day too.
Based on all these other comments, one wonders how stupid could Nvidia be to keep calling 690 it's other flagship gpu, if one is to believe that 690 as useless as everyone makes it out to be. I have enjoyed my 690 a lot more than my Titan on any single screen, based on the gaming experience.

I had to reinstall that damned KB2670838 Update.
I tried to download a new version of Glary Utilities and it wouldn't download.
Tried several other download sites and they wouldn't work.
Tried downloading several different apps at different sites. No go.
But, I could still download Windows Update. Figures.
The only change I made to my computer was removing the KB2670838 Update, so I reinstalled it.
Now I can download again.
I've never really had anything against Microsoft, but this is a real pisser!
I ran Firestrike Extreme and I'm down to 2150 with this GTX 690. Again.
If you haven't installed Internet Explorer 10, then don't!
If you have the option to install KB2670838 Update separately, don't!
I guess I'll be waiting on yet another Futuremark fix. Again!
It's only been a couple of weeks since FM finally fixed the Compare function. Now, this.

Well, this is my first post here on Overclock. Figured I start by getting into the club that I am proud to be a part of. My 690 is a EVGA manufactured one. I added the backplate early on and I am loving it. Works great for surround gaming, in my opinion. Runs cool and quiet in my D-Frame.

Yes, you are correct. It is the D-Frame from InWin, but unlike the pictures on that site the one in my picture is the red & black one.
