Thanks man, and apologies for not adding you earlier, but I will do so now. thumb.gif

There are no waterblocks currently available for the 690 yet. It will probably be a couple of weeks/end of May I would guess. thumb.gif

Also, I did not get around to benching much tonight since I was enjoying how badly this card just ate every game like you're asking it to run Minesweeper. I mean, Battlefield 3 @ 2560x1440p, 4xAA, 16xAF, everything on Ultra...smooth as butter. This card didn't break a sweat...like i texted to my friend...it literally just ATE Battlefield 3. tongue.gif

That said, I did get to run two (2) benchmarks with 3DMark11; both runs are at ABSOLUTE STOCK settings, meaning no clock speed boosts at all. I literally closed any background tasks/apps, ran 3DMark 11 (P) benchmark twice, one with PhysX On, and another with PhysX Off.

Keep in mind that i am using the Basic (Free) Edition of 3DMark11 and also, it doesn't yet seem to recognize the GTX 690 and the 301.34 GeForce drivers as being official when the scores were uploaded at the end of the runs.

PhysX On:

651

PhysX Off (CPU Physics):

666

Again, these are my first two runs ever with this card, no tweaks at all, so take them for what they are. I will run more 3DMark11 benches during the course of the week, including Max OC clocks (and i'll run them on my full version key lol, I just never reinstalled 3DMark11 after reformatting not too long ago). More benches to come later, including Heaven runs and whatnot.

That said, t'was a busy night rebuilding my loop/cleaning my rig, and getting to play around with the 690 for a couple of hours, but now i'm off to bed cause...I got a full-time day job like the rest of you. thumb.gif

Sweet stock bench. Your graphics score 16477 alone. thumb.gif

Going to be interesting to see how she over clocks and what core clocks we can achieve along with GPU boosts possible. See how well she does vs two 680's or two 7970's will be intriguing. smile.gif

Though I will add regardless, this one bad arse looking card. Even with slightly less performance of the two in SLI or crossfire it will suit my needs very nicely. Single 120Hz 1920x1200 res monitor in 2D gaming or 3D Vision gaming it's going to be great. 2GB for me will be more than plenty. Misconception on single monitors is 3D Vision gaming eats more VRAM when it doesn't.

Keep us posted bud if you can tear yourself away from gaming. wink.gif

Did a little thread cleanup of some off-topic stuff earlier. Just a heads up if you see some posts missing biggrin.gif

Grats on the new card JC ... keep them benchies coming.

BTW, looking forward to see what the top clock is that baby hits at full OC/boost thumb.gif

Also, physX on/off shouldn't affect 3dMark11 at all ... it's pure CPU physics in this suite, unlike Vantage. Your score difference is likely just MoE-related is my guess.

Ordered a Gigabyte GTX690 today.
I wrote a small bash script a couple of days ago to check the PCCG website every couple of minutes to see if they added a GTX690 to their inventory. Worked a treat wink.gif

....GTX 690 is on sale for $1600 in Australia....it would be more cost efficient to buy one in England and have it shipped....or buy one in the USA and have it shipped...

...also, you can buy a GTX 680 in Autralia for $600 (if you can find one in stock)....you could nearly buy 3 GTX 680s for the price of one GTX 690...I think the price translation has gone awry somewhere...I seriously dislike the disparity between exchange rates and prices for computer parts (& games) in Australia....

How about 1,950 AUD? Across the ditch is much worse, my friend. That's one of the reasons why I will either join my family in the US or go to AUS. frown.gif
