If you're worried about temps...you could always venture into water cooling. biggrin.gif

Not to push you in that direction, but imo water cooling the gpu is great, and there are people around here looking to unload their 690 water blocks for cheap. The H220 is $139 and can be expanded with another rad to cool the cpu and gpu. Just something to think about.

I've been considering something like that actually, we'll see how funding goes cause it's something I really wanna do even when I had my 680's... Maybe I can squeeze some extra juice outta my cpu of I do smile.gif

Hi all,

I am looking to buy GTX 690 card and little confused about the Brand to chose from?
Sorry if I missed it in this looong tread smile.gif
Is there any difference between those Zotac, Asus, Gigabyte or others?
Thanks for advice!

They are all the same, nvidia hasnt allowed them to change them in any way, personally i prefer the evga model because its the only one you can use the led control app with

if anyone in this forum has an evga backplate for the 690 for sale with all the required screws please contact me as i am having a great deal of trouble finding one and would very much like to have one as i change things in my system alot and would like the protection, i benchmark and test alot for friends and family so it would give me a bit of peace of mind

Are you in the US? I'll check to see if my brother wants to sell a new one he has never bothered installing. Just an FYI, it doesn't come with screws. You reuse the ones that are on the card itself.
