I just emailed Tiger Direct to see what the status is on the next shipment. This is what I got back

"Dear Valued Customer,
We do apologize for the inconvenience.
Unfortunately our records indicate that this item is on backorder and should be available on 05/31/12.
You can chose to wait for the item or you may also contact one of our sales representatives at 1.800.800.8300 for further assistance finding a comparable item."

, this happened to me as well. I called td as when I ordered it said mine would be delivered this Friday.
After they pre authorized my card then told me the same. I canceled my order with them I find not telling the customer in advance before we order that they don't have them in stock completely unacceptable.

I'm trying to find a comfort zone with this. One one hand, I've got my foot in the door (twice). On the other hand, the wait is killer, and the horrible business practices by TD are unacceptable.

However, in the meantime, I can take my time with my rig building. Also, I'm hoping a water block for these are released soon, so I can get my hands on one (prolly before the card arrives).

Its probably better to just keep your order with TD unless you can find somewhere else with it in stock. That's how I am justifying it anyways.

Can anyone here comment on the 690's surround performance in BF3 in particular? I'm interested in getting one but not sure if 2x680's would be better for surround gaming.
