So i have a question to ask ....

i've bought recently an aftermarket aircooler aka Arctic Accelero Twin Turbo 690 (DCACO-V780001-BL):

i've unscrewed all the T6 TorX screws and phillips ones on the pcb.

but i can't remove the screws of the (back) slot bracket (i really apologize for my poor english ... anyway i'm just a frog )

Could Anyone ever tell me wich screwdriver (Exact Specs) i should use for these screws :

picture in here : on screw over DP (Display Port) the other one over the third DVI

Thx a lot people, for your futher advices, tips and help !

Cya soon

Any precision Philips would do for these. It works for mine anyway. Also be careful when taking the stock cooler off, when unhooking the led and fan connections (white and black). Then take a pic of the pcb with the thermal pads and thermal paste still on, before changing anything. This way you will never forget what goes where. Save all the stock thermal pads by putting them on the stock cooler and wrap it up and put it away in the same anti static bag it came in.
Cheers!

Guys I have been away from the GTX 690 modded bios news for a couple months now so please bare with me on this question.

So anything new regarding the modded bios/OC tools for our beloved 690's to increase performance/OC headroom besides going under water?

I'm on modded bios btw with 1097Mhz/6.8Ghz.

Thanks.

The Hydro Copper 690 BIOS has Higher Core (+9%) and Boost clock (+3%). If you could get this bios from someone then flash a regular 690 with water block. You can also just use percision x or afterburrner to set clocks but it's voltage locked. . Techpowerup has regular 690 Bios only no one has uploaded the Hydro Copper Bios.

i had the gainward stock bios for my 690 : PT= 135 % (360/375W) - 1058/6000 8-9 bins (on average load).

Now i use a Asus moded bios Aka (450W TDP) : PT up to 150 % (>450W) - and on default boost setting up to 1071 mhz/6000 gddr5 ---) between 10-11 bins (max 12).

with stock cooler with an Antec 1200 tower and modded bios :

+ 120 mhz offset on gpu (1189- 1202) and + 700 mhz offset (1.4 ghz -- 7.4 ghz GDDR5)

Cheers,
lascar.

PS : thx for your advices Provost, but in my case, to put in a nutshell : no way to unscrew it, nor with strength

btw I got back my ASUS gtx 690 from RMA: this one has low ASICs - 64 and 63% only. I was able to clock it like this:

+80 core
+500 mem
+135% PT

Not great overclocker but I think its decent. And with my Accelero Twin Turbo card is deadly silent smile.gif

Since the screws are not on pcb, you can try to use a dremel to cut across the screw and use a flathead if the screws are stripped. You would have to be very careful not to damage other parts of the cooler. Also, try warming up the screws with a hair dryer, u never know.

This seems to be a low ASIC for 690. The average is north of 74%. Not that it mattes.
You can over clock your core more at 135% but less on memory for better bench scores, and higher stable over clock for 24/7. By the way, 690s do like cooler temps, and ware block helps.
