Also played Far Cry 3 and also Crysis 3@1215-1228Mhz with 2x SMAA and also tried TXAA-High! No probs. But they were quick tests, like 5-6min each.

P.S: A quick little fun fact. I was doing my routine check(once a month usually) for Bios updates(MB, GPU etc) and when I didn't find anything new
I posted my previous post #4808 to see if I missed any news about our overclocking our beloved 690's OC since I hadn't followed the thread for a while
and in the same day we get Voltage control!!

That's a real coincidence! tongue.gif
What score did you get for valley? Can you post it in the valley thread and here? I have a pretty good idea of how 690s do on water in valley as I have pushed mine quite a bit. But I am benching another card right now, and will plug in 690 when I get a moment.

I have scores in most benchmark threads here, so I will definitely update them.

But for now I got some fluctuations on GPU1 when upping the Voltage. It must be my bios probably. I will try and flash back the stock ones or maybe even those Hydro ones.

Btw someone be kind enough and share here or PM me The Hydro Copper 690 BIOS please?

Thanks.

any advantage to flash HC BIOS on reference GTX 690 or it is just clocked a little higher ?

Do you think that 690 VRM can handle that voltage?
my last gfx radeon 5970 i've bumped the vcore up to 1.45V (40 nm process) for benches and 1.35V for H24/7/7 for gaming sessions without any troubles with aircooling.
Ugh, who do I have to kill for a 690 :/
Uselless, in my case flashing with a new bios just allows the gfx on stock setting to boost 1 or 2 bins (13 mhz step) higher than the previous bios.

1.3V seems a bit high for 28 nm process with aircooling for long periods of time, under WC should be ok.

quick bench ....

Grid 2 downscalled 3200x1800 aax8 maxed out

i'm hitting OCP over current Protection at 1280 mhz / PT 150 % / 1.295V (+ 125 mV)

will try other games and lowering the vcore on both gpu and upping memory offset to find out the best ratio clock vs memory ...

and the best for the end : the only thing it will do .... RMA your card biggrin.gif

lets see

Stay tuned !
