What kind of performance boost, temperature boost would we be looking at with a new bios?

EDIT: Just redid my overclock and got a max of 1257 / 3154 at 83c.

only your GPU will tell you, each chip does performance different. but you should able to clock higher and scores will increase too if i can get the work around the voltage to 1.212v.

Ok, I'm interested in doing it and willing to try.
If you can provide a decent guide, I can try it tonight or as soon as you get back to me.

Right now, I'm having an issue overclocking and I don't know why.
I'm fine at stock speeds, when I overclock with EVGA Precision however, my card seems to crash at anything past +20 Core +50 Mem, so whatever I can try would be great.
I had a good overclock with Asus GPU Tweak of +55 +150, but I noticed that it was only overclocking one of the chips, and the other was left at default, and I don't know why.

So yea, I'll try this custom bios if it might get a decent overclock.
What's the chance of killing my card though?

Oh and thanks for all your help dude and providing the custom bios, I appreciate it.

Hmm, my +55 core OC is no longer stable after 17 months. Not sure if new drivers or degradation or what. Anyone else experience something similar?

wondering if that new nzxt kraken g10 will fit on my 690... doesn't show up on the compatible cards list, but it could probably be modified.

I'm having the same problem. I had an overclock of 135% 50+ 180+, then the newer drivers came out and now with EVGA Precision I can't get more than a 135% +20 +50 without all my games crashing.
I suspect it's the drivers, though I don't know why they would do that all of a sudden.

As far as I know, the NZXT Kraken G10 is for single GPU cards only, and looking at the build on it, looks like there is no work around for it.
If you want to improve the cooling on your GTX 690, I suggest going with the suggested cooler on the first page of this thread.

Yep, can't oc 690s with the new driver for gaming at all. Since I don't bench 690 anymore, I have not bothered with putting the waterblock back on to see if it makes a difference....
I suspect its boost 2. 0 and new drivers....I have only played very few games, but ac4 seems to fly on latest beta drivers on 1440p with the 690 sli profile.
