[Official] NVIDIA GTX 690 Owners Club - Page 522

Hi guys, I figured this was the best place to ask..
im currently debating on selling my 690 for some extra fundage for the new 790, or keeping my 690 and watercooling it. I only play at 1080P.

What do you guys think?

Hey guys, was hoping to join the gtx 690 club but my purchase (used) card isn't displaying video. I'm hoping to RMA the card once I reinstall the stock cooler but unfortunately the original screws for the cooler were misplaced by the original owner. Does anyone have an idea of what size and type of screws they are? I heard somewhere that they are a torxs t5 screw but how long are they? For your reference it is an EVGA card. Thanks for the help!

Just joined the Quad SLI club having obtained a second 690 already watercooled on ebay! I am surprised at the high prices being quoted stateside for 690's - one went a couple of weeks ago on Ebay for the opening bid of £399.95. (used of course, and stock).

Is the modded bios on the first page still the best?

Also using precision, i have power target set to 135, gpu 145, and mem at 200. Do i need to adjust the voltage setting higher to accommodate this or is it done auto? I set it to the max at 1.150.

Well I Just bought a brand new Asus GTX 690 for $620 shipped. Looking forward to joining the club. I read a lot of posts scaring me about the 2Gb of vram for my 2560x1440 Display. Also how well do these cards OC? I got a full EK water block to with it.

Here is my take, as far as Nvidia cards go, I have multiple Titans, 780 KPE and these cards. I would be lying if I said that I have not really enjoyed the 690s, and these are some of the best cards I have owned. I have these in my back up rig now, and I have not had any issues with games on 1440p.
Watercooled 690 will be a decent clocker, but these clock just well on air cooling too. 1200 is probably average. Again, not sure if Nvidia showed this card a lot of love when developing it. tongue.gif, but they are still very sweet, and probably the best of the best demonstration of the Kepler architecture, developed from the ground up. smile.gif

Ok so before I get yelled at I know that my case is a mess... Im planning on getting a new case soon so everything will eventually be tucked in and neat lol.

So anyway I've had the card for about a year now and I haven't even logged into this site in a long time lol so never really got a chance to post my card. Anyway here it is and it is an EVGA model

No. It won't do you any good, as you would temp throttle down. Besides, I don't think that we have working custom bios to truly take advantage of the volt unlock on the 690s. I have not tested custom bios much, but some others may have, so I could be wrong?
